I have discovered many hidden gems when traveling to Sarasota, and have put together this list to help you choose where to visit during your next trip. 

From adventure style mini golf courses to drum circles on the beach, there’s something on this list for everyone!

Here are the 25 best things to do in Sarasota at night.

Top 25 Best Things To Do in Sarasota At Night

1. Visit Livingston’s Amusements Center

For a fun night out, head to Livingston’s Amusements Center to enjoy food, drinks, arcade games, pool, and more.

This amusement center has bumper carts, go-karts, and a large arcade with prize centers. It’s open daily at the following hours.

  • Sunday: 12 pm  – 11 pm
  • Monday to Thursday: 4:30 pm – 12 am
  • Friday:  4:30 pm – 1 am
  • Saturday:  12 pm – 1 am

2. Walk along Sarasota Pier

Stroll along Sarasota Pier to watch the sunset, or go fishing. This 560 foot pier has public bathrooms, bait shops, and is open 24 hours.

Once you’re done walking along the pier, stop by the Columbia restaurant for a traditional Cuban sandwich, at the oldest restaurant in Sarasota!

3. Go on an LED illuminated glass kayak tour

If you’re up for an adventure, watch the sunset go down on a glass kayak tour. Sharkeys’ Watersports offers night time glass-bottomed kayak tours at Ken Thompson Park.

You’ll get to spot wildlife illuminated by LED lights while touring through mangroves and grass flats. 

4. Enjoy food and live music at the UTC Night Market

Visit the University Town Center’s Night Market to enjoy live music and pick up handmade goods. There are 30+ vendors selling everything from donuts to artwork, so it’s an excellent place to visit at night.

The market is open every Thursday of the month from 5-9 pm. Note: The hours vary depending on the season, so make sure to view their current hours here before visiting. 

5. Join the Drum circle in Siesta Key Beach

Head to Siesta Key Beach on Sunday nights to join the drum circle. You’ll get to dance in a large circle where local drummers and musicians play live music as the sun goes down.

The circle is held every Sunday night from 5 pm to 12 am, to the south of the Siesta Beach pavilion. 

6. Play At A Mini-Golf Course Created By Tiger Woods

Head to PopStroke to play mini-golf in a course designed by Tiger Woods! PopStroke is an entertainment venue with two mini golf courses, outdoor games, and a rooftop bar and restaurant.

The center also has a kids playground and ice cream shop so it’s a fun place for kids and adults. It’s open from 9 am to 11 pm daily. 

7. Play pinball at Arcade Monsters

Stop by Arcade Monsters to enjoy the night out playing arcade games and trying Cuban street food. Arcade Monsters is a classic game themed arcade with a rooftop bar, and over 100 games.

From pinball to outdoor Jenga, there’s something fun for everyone.

8. Watch Stand Up at Mccurdy’s Comedy Theatre

If you’re a fan of comedy, head to Mccurdy’s Comedy Theatre to watch live stand-up, and enjoy food and drinks.

9. Bike Siesta Key Beach during the sunset

One of the best beaches in Sarasota to watch the sunset is Siesta Key. You can rent out electric bikes and bike right along the beach.

Once you’re done biking on the beach, stop by Captain Curt’s Crab and Oyster Bar for fresh clam chowder and daiquiris.

10. Go shopping at St Armands Circle

Head to St Armands Circle to shop at over 140 boutiques. This lively shopping center has upscale boutiques, candy stores, ice cream shops, gift shops, an Arcade Monsters, and more.

It also has many excellent restaurants, so it’s the perfect place to stroll around after dinner. The shopping center’s open from 8 am to 12 am daily. 

11. Dance to Live Music At The Beach Club

For a fun night of dancing, head to The Beach Club in Sarasota Beach. The Beach Club is a popular dance club with DJs, live bands, great drinks, and pizza.

The bar opens at noon and stays open till 12 am daily. If you want discounted drinks, make sure to visit from 12-7 pm during happy hour. 

12. Solve an Escape Room

Stop by the Mysterium Escape Room in downtown Sarasota to solve a virtual reality escape room with friends.

This exciting venue has virtual reality escape games, retro arcade games, and a full-service bar serving food and drinks.

They’re open till 10 pm Sunday through Thursday,  and 12 am on Fridays and Saturdays. 

13. Watch movies at CMX CinéBistro

Watch movies while having dinner at CMX CinéBistro in Siesta Key. CMX CinéBistro is a luxurious movie theater with in-theatre dining, reclined seats, and a full service bar.

14. Get ice cream at Olaf’s siesta village

Head to Olaf’s Siesta Village to try some of the best ice cream in Sarasota. From key lime pie ice cream to brownie fudge, they have something for everyone.

The ice cream shop is minutes away from the beach, and is open till 10 pm daily, and 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

15. Have Dinner On The Beach 

Have dinner on the beach at one of the many waterfront restaurants in Sarasota. Marina Jack, Dry Dock Waterfront Grill, and O’Leary’s Tiki Bar and Grill are all great places with outdoor seating, live music, and views of the sea. 

16. Watch The Sunset At Ken Thompson Park

For a relaxing evening, watch the sunset at Ken Thompson Park. Ken Thompson Park is a natural preserve with picnic areas and a boardwalk.

You’ll get lovely views of Sarasota Bay walking along the boardwalk, and it’s open year round from 5 am to 11 pm. 

17. Sip wine and paint at Painting With A Twist

For a fun night out with friends, take painting classes while sipping wine at Painting With A Twist.

Painting With A Twist offers nightly painting classes, as well as private parties where you can enjoy music and refreshments. 

18. Go Bowling At Bowlero Bradenton

Spend the night bowling at Bowlero Bradenton. This lively bowling alley offers unlimited bowling starting at 9 pm nightly, and has an arcade center, restaurant, pool tables, and bar.

Head to Raffurty’s bar and grill in downtown Sarasota to watch sports TV and enjoy food and drinks with friends.

This energetic bar has trivia on Tuesdays, bingo on Wednesday’s, and karaoke on Fridays! For discounted drinks, make sure to visit during happy hour from 11 am to 7 am.

20. Go on a Food Tasting Tour

Go on a food-tasting tour through downtown Sarasota to sample some of the best local restaurants while learning about the history of Sarasota.

21. Visit the Historic Asolo Theater

Visit the Historic Asolo Theater to watch a play or music show. The Historic Asolo Theater is a beautiful 18th century theatre that has circus, music, dance, theatre, and more live performances throughout the year.

Take a private boat charter for exceptional views of Little Sarasota Bay during the sunset. This private charter is pet-friendly, can take up to 6 people, and you can bring snacks and drinks to enjoy as you cruise along.

25. Play Adventure Style Mini-Golf 

Visit Smugglers Cove Adventure Golf to play adventure style mini-golf. This unique mini golf course has waterfalls, pirate ships, caves, and 25 live alligators.

You’ll get the chance to feed live alligators with cane fishing poles, and they’re open 9 am – 11 pm every day of the year!
